During my years of moving up and down the corporate ladder, I kept hearing one recurring question from my bosses… “Mike, what’s your passion?”

 

After much thought I finally came up with the answer…“Sitting on my ass, watching T.V. and eating pizza.” With this revelation along with the fact that I really missed Chicago Pizza & Italian Beef, the idea for Windy City Pizza was born. 10 years later (I’m a procrastinator), partnering with my brother (another Chicago transplant) we finally opened our doors in November 2014.

Now what makes an authentic Chicago pizza?

 

Well to start with, ingredients from Chicago! Our fresh Italian sausage, Italian beef & gravy, pepperoni, meatballs, gyro cones, even our bread is shipped directly from the Windy City. While great food comes out of Chicago, we leave the cheese making to the expert “cheese heads” up in Wisconsin. A very high quality Mozzarella and our proprietary blend of natural cheeses is at the heart of each pizza. Our pizza sauces are made in house using only California tomatoes.

 

While the deep-dish pie (crammed with over a pound of cheese) is the talk of the town, 80% of pizzas sold in Chicago original thin crust.
